Athletics Association owes Euro-based Sports firms
The Ghana Athletics Association (GAA) owes two European-based Sports firms, 29,304.95 US Dollars for camping and training of athletes towards the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
Professor Francis "Padigo" Dodoo, Gold medalist at the 1987 All African Games and a four time Olympian has assumed the leadership of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) for a four year period, after elections held at the Quadrennial Congress of the Committee on Tuesday.
Ghana will make her maiden appearance at the World Dwarf Games to be staged in Belfast, Northern Ireland this year. The Games, which is meant for dwarf looking people across the globe is to be organized by the Dwarf Athletic Association (DAA) with the National Dwarf Team of Ghana making her maiden appearance.
